How do I prepare for my buttocks / gluteal augmentation surgery?
We ask patients to stop taking medications that may increase bleeding including aspirin, Plavix, NSAIDS (i.e. ibuprofen, Advil, Alleve, etc), and herbal supplements like vitamin E. Patients should be in good health and ensure they have their blood pressure controlled.
Recovering after your Buttocks / Gluteal Augmentation
The procedure is performed either under general anesthesia. Patients are asked to wear compression garments over the area where fat was harvested. Patients can resume normal activities within days and exercise in 3 weeks. The bruising will normally resolve in 2-3 weeks.
